Role summary
We are seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at Quantium. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge data science and AI products that forge a better, more insightful world for our clients across retail, health, government, and financial services sectors.
As a Senior Engineer Full Stack, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable full-stack applications that deliver exceptional user experiences whilst handling complex data processing requirements. You will work closely with data scientists, product managers, and other engineers to build robust solutions that transform how organisations leverage their data.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, with experience in modern frameworks and cloud platforms. You will contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior team members, and drive technical excellence across our engineering practices.

- Design and develop scalable full-stack applications using modern technologies and frameworks
- Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces that effectively communicate complex data insights
- Develop robust APIs and backend services that support high-performance data processing
- Leverage AI-powered development tools and assistants to enhance productivity and code quality in daily engineering tasks
- Team collaboration with potential involvement in AI product development initiatives
- Collaborate with data scientists to integrate machine learning models and analytics into production systems
- Ensure code quality through comprehensive testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical strategy discussions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team
- Participate in agile development processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Maintain and optimise existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability
The superpowers you will bring to the team:
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Extensive experience with backend technologies including Node.js, Python, Java, or C#
- Solid understanding of database technologies including both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and practices
- Understanding of agile development methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with data visualisation libraries and tools is highly desirable
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and integration is advantageous
