Quantium is a world leader in data science and artificial intelligence. Established in Australia in 2002, we're a global team of more than 1,200 people across 14 locations with a unique blend of capabilities across product and consulting services. We partner with the world's largest corporations to forge a better, more intelligent world.

We're ALL in on AI - transforming ourselves into an AI-native organisation while helping our clients do the same. With 23 years of domain expertise, proprietary data partnerships, and industry-leading AI adoption (90% weekly active usage).

As our Lead Consultant, you'll own one of Quantium's most strategically important US banking relationships. You'll be the strategic face of Quantium to this client - shaping their roadmap with us, balancing client needs with commercial realities, and identifying opportunities to grow the partnership.

You'll bridge client stakeholders and our engineering and analytics teams across Australia and India, coordinating across time zones while leading a small team and developing the next generation of Quantium talent. This role demands exceptional stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences

How You'll Create Impact

  • Own the client relationship end-to-end - building trust with stakeholders from technical teams through to Division Heads, and identifying opportunities to grow the partnership through additional analytics, AI, or data product engagements
  • Lead delivery of major initiatives including cloud migration and product upgrades, managing critical path, risks, and milestones to deliver on time, on budget, and in full
  • Translate technical concepts (cloud architecture, data engineering, algorithm logic) into business-friendly documentation that drives understanding and adoption
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Australia and India, ensuring alignment across time zones through structured communication
  • Champion AI-driven approaches in client delivery while maintaining the validation rigour our clients depend on
  • Navigate complex approval workflows and commercial discussions including contract renewals and MSA amendments
  • Lead and develop a small team, providing coaching and stretch opportunities that build capability

The Superpowers You'll Be Bringing To The Team

  • Relationship mastery: You build deep, lasting relationships across technical and executive stakeholders. Clients trust you because you're transparent, responsive, and consistently deliver on your commitments.
  • Translation ability: You move fluently between technical and business conversations. Whether explaining cloud architecture to executives or commercial constraints to engineers, you make the complex accessible.
  • Resilient navigation: Complex organisational processes don't frustrate you - they're puzzles to solve. You anticipate roadblocks, prepare mitigation strategies, and maintain momentum through ambiguity.
  • Coordination excellence: You thrive orchestrating cross-functional teams across geographies and time zones, maintaining visibility and alignment through structured communication and documentation.

Required Experience and Capabilities

  • 5+ years of experience in technical client-facing roles within financial services or banking, with demonstrated progression into relationship ownership and team leadership
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder relationships across different organisational levels and geographies - including experience contributing to account growth and renewals
  • Strong understanding of the US banking and financial services sector, including regulatory and compliance considerations
  • Experience leading or mentoring junior team members in a consulting or professional services environment
  • Experience translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences and creating clear, accessible documentation
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract discussions, renewals, and commercial negotiations
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred), data engineering concepts, and analytics platforms
  • Curiosity about AI applications in analytics and client delivery, with a critical eye for validating AI-generated outputs
  • Basic technical capability (SQL, terminal navigation) to support urgent troubleshooting when required
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Commerce, Technology, or related discipline)
