Role summary

The Lead Cloud Architect is a high-impact technical leadership role at the forefront of Quantium’s enterprise cloud engagements. You will shape how we design, build, and deliver AWS platforms for major clients, while remaining flexible enough to adapt solutions across cloud and technology ecosystems as client needs evolve.

This is a highly visible role where your architectural decisions directly influence how clients build and scale in the cloud. While AWS expertise is core, we are looking for leaders who think beyond a single platform, remain open to other technologies, and are comfortable stretching into new domains where the solution demands it.

You will combine deep AWS capability with commercial awareness, stakeholder leadership, and the flexibility to design pragmatic solutions in complex environments.
 

How will you make an impact?

• Lead end-to-end cloud platform architecture for enterprise clients, with AWS as the primary focus while remaining adaptable to multi-cloud and adjacent technologies where appropriate
• Act as the technical authority in client architecture reviews, workshops, and senior stakeholder forums, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Design secure, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud environments, making clear trade-offs across performance, compliance, commercial constraints, and long-term sustainability
• Think beyond immediate tools or services, proposing creative and pragmatic solutions even where the answer sits outside your direct experience
• Mentor and uplift engineers across the team, sharing architectural thinking and raising overall cloud capability
• Serve as a subject matter expert across engagements, unblocking complex technical challenges and ensuring architectural consistency
   

The superpowers you will bring to the team:

• Deep experience as a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect or Platform Architect, with strong AWS expertise and the ability to extend thinking across other clouds or technologies
• The ability to design from first principles while remaining flexible and solution-oriented rather than tool-bound
• Strong stakeholder management skills, confidently working with internal teams, client architecture and security groups, and senior business leaders
• Professional-level AWS Cloud or Solutions Architect certifications
• A mentoring mindset, with experience guiding engineers and helping teams grow in architectural maturity
• Intellectual curiosity and adaptability, with a demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and stretch beyond your comfort zone
